Hong Kong Court Charges 47 Pro-Democracy Activists
Protesters gathered outside a Hong Kong courthouse on Thursday for the preliminary hearing of the 47 pro-democracy activists who were charged with violating Chinese law after attempting to organize an election primary.
[sirens] I think the information is not sufficiently given to the public. I couldn’t see my husband, even I am here for four days for the hearing. I cannot meet him at all because I’m not allowed in Court 1. I think that’s very unfair, no matter for the defendants or for their family. I think it’s really unfair.
