(ominous music) It didn’t have to be this way. In the decade 1979 - 89, we knew already the earth really is getting warmer. It was not a statistical fluke. We should have begun to take the actions that would have avoided a tragedy. Knowing that we could have avoided this, it is a tragedy that we didn’t.
